Designers, developers, inventors, hackers, and the like, came to join in an evening of creative show and tell at Owen Jones' Portland office. It's always interesting to see what other fellow creatives in our community are working on. There is no shortage of great work out there, that's for sure. We also made some wonderful new friends.

We will for sure do another one of these in the near future. Stay tuned.

How to simultaneously evolve a brand, build a site, and keep everyone happy.

At Owen, we do work from the strategic to the aesthetic, the broad to very specific. In the case of Urban Airship, the end deliverable was a pretty large and powerful marketing website (http://urbanairship.com/) – which we developed in-house.

Rusty Grim (co-founding partner at Owen) revealed three main must-haves for brand success. Josh Balleza (@BforBalleza – principal designer on the project) discussed the aesthetic evolution of the Urban Airship brand. And Lucas Swick (@lucastswick – technical lead on the project), suggested strategies for working under aggressive timelines. Watch and learn.
